My Story

Creating unique art inspires me and serves as my therapy! My inspiration comes from many things- my faith, nature, books, animals, travel, and through friends, family, and other artists. I create in several ways but most of my time is devoted to jewelry making. I started making jewelry when my mom was on home hospice at our house and continued when we lost her. My style is mostly bohemian/hippie, but I enjoy experimenting with new styles.

I’m an Army veteran, married to an Army veteran. We call North Carolina home after living abroad and in 3 different states, but we’re happy to finally be planted. I enjoy repurposing beads from vintage jewelry and collecting them from flea markets and various shops. I started with simple beading by putting colors and shapes together to make something different. A lot of my techniques came to me from taking apart old jewelry and seeing how it was made. I enjoy watching other artists teaching their techniques. I often try their techniques and then use my own talent to make distinctive pieces. Custom work gives me immense satisfaction. I use my customer’s style and vision to create unique pieces that they enjoy wearing, knowing they were part of the creative process.
